Relatively small airport, so you don't have to wait long for your luggage.
I don't know for people who have to go through a passport check because I didn't have to. You might have to wait longer because I don't expect so many booths for passport control.
The view was amazing stepping out of the plane in very snowy weather.

Little pretty airport with a small duty free and small food outlet. Check in and Security checks are efficient and fast.
Car hire just outside baggage collection.
Staff are friendly

The stupidest thing here - if you arrived to earlier you are not able to go through security check, because they completely close area with cafes
Arrive not earlier than 2 hours before flight
Security check not as modern as in huge airports so might take a while but usually quick then it’s not so much passengers

Pretty small airport so it's easy to get through both ways. The bus to Ruka leaves 15 mins after your flight arrives, and will leave the center of Ruka village 1h 45m before your flight. It takes hardly any time to get through security so you still end up waiting even with that allowance.

This is a very small airport. Our arrival was fine. We had a short wait for our baggage but only because it was only a few steps from the plane to the carousel and passport control took no time at all. There is no food or anything else available at arrivals or departures before security. There is a small cafe after security which looked quite nice though we had no time to try it. The problem was that there were four flights leaving within two hours and check in and security just could not cope with the number of people even with all desks and security lanes open.

Small airport.
Arrivals worked very well; short walk and minimal wait for passport control and baggage. Marvelous.
Departure a disaster. Inadequate space, inadequate numbers of staff, inadequate numbers of check-in desks, inadequate numbers of security scanners. Result - people queuing outside and delays. Our flight was delayed leaving by 85 minutes as a consequence, despite everyone arriving over 3 hours before scheduled departure time. The lack of any information whatsoever, the inefficiency of the security staff and the obvious managerial chaos did not help. Not did having the incorrect gate on the departures board. If we are going to be kept waiting for several hours, perhaps provide a drinking water fountain?
Being " carbon neutral" might be desirable, but perhaps concentrate on sorting out working as an airport first? The job we are paying you to do?
